In the field of Engineering, devices are maintained at a strict sense of continuity to meet the demands of the general public to both maintain a sense of purpose and reliability. That is why we have designed a portable all in one first aid spray gun called the SprAid Gun to treat superficial wounds and burns at the site of injury. The meaning of purpose, is providing the consumer a reason of such a device as to fulfill a necessary function or role that will help increase overall efficiency within the scope of preventing infection and support wound healing.

The sense of reliability, to appropriate the design the SprAid Gun device to provide a durable, economically sound, and lengthy existence to fulfill the future needs of the consumers demand for said product. The purpose of the SprAid Gun apparatus is to maintain at strict level of compliance when individuals in the field, school, recreational events or job related ventures come in to contact with incidental exposure to life’s unexpected occurrences. The SprAid Gun will become a universal tool in the sense of convenience, cost efficiency, durability and reliability to the everyday worker and household family.

The focus of the project will include the mechanical design of a spray apparatus designed without the need of external power sources. The scope of the device will be designed as one universal part; first the spray head and medical lining, second the holder for the individual placement of the cartridges, which are connected individually to the lining of the spray head. To maintain an efficient medical device that can be carried with ease, the scope of the design will also include the fabrication of the spray apparatus to fit conveniently within the pocket holder of a water belt or a holster. Both parts of the design will be made from plastic and individual cartridges will include an antiseptic combined with a local anesthetic, a hemostatic agent, and a thermoregulator to protect the wound and encourage re-epithelialization. The demand of a medical device that can provide a first aid remedy for wounds and burns along with a user friendly design is applicable and effective to almost any life situation.
